Disclaimer

Accuracy disclaimer for GradeNeeded grade calculators, planner tools, and AI study features.

GradeNeeded is a student planning tool. It does not replace your syllabus, instructor, school, official gradebook, or advisor.

No warranties — use at your own risk

GradeNeeded tools, calculators, AI features, planner functions, reminders, and all related services are provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranty of any kind. GradeNeeded makes no warranty that results will be accurate, complete, error-free, or suitable for any particular academic purpose. Your use of GradeNeeded is entirely at your own risk.

Tool accuracy

GradeNeeded tools provide estimates based on the numbers you enter. Results depend on accurate inputs and may not match every school's grading rules, instructor adjustments, or official gradebook calculations. Grade scales and GPA calculations vary by institution — results on GradeNeeded may not reflect your school's actual grading system.

Educational estimates only

The tools are meant for student planning and are not official academic advice, official school records, or a guarantee of any grade outcome. Nothing on GradeNeeded constitutes academic, legal, financial, or professional advice.

High school grade scales

High school grading systems vary significantly by school district and institution. GradeNeeded's calculators use common US grading conventions and may not reflect weighted GPA systems, honor/AP course bonuses, pass/fail courses, credit recovery programs, or other grading structures specific to your school. High school students should verify all results with their official school gradebook and counselor.

Course policies vary

Official grades may be affected by category weights, extra credit, rounding, curves, dropped assignments, late penalties, deadlines, credit rules, or instructor adjustments that differ from what you enter. GradeNeeded cannot account for grading policies it is not aware of.

Grade forecast limitations

The grade forecast in the planner estimates the score needed on remaining work to reach a target grade, based on the assignment grades and category weights you have entered. It does not account for extra credit, dropped assignments, curves, attendance grades, late penalties, or other instructor-specific adjustments. A forecast result is an estimate only — always verify your actual standing with your instructor and official gradebook.

Planner and reminder limitations

Planner features are meant to help organize schoolwork and priorities, but they do not replace your official syllabus, learning management system, school calendar, gradebook, or instructor instructions. Due date reminders — whether delivered by email or browser push notification — are a convenience feature and are not guaranteed. Delivery depends on your settings, email provider, device, browser, and network. Do not rely solely on GradeNeeded reminders to manage important academic deadlines.

AI disclaimer

GradeNeeded is not responsible for missed assignments or incorrect grade configurations resulting from Syllabus Scanner errors. Grade forecasts: The live grade forecast is an estimate based on the grades and weights you have entered. It does not account for extra credit, curves, dropped assignments, late penalties, instructor adjustments, or other factors. A forecast should inform planning decisions, not replace official gradebook records. Verify all study content against your course materials before relying on it for exams or assignments. Degree progress limitations

Always verify credit requirements and graduation eligibility with your official advisor and school records. GradeNeeded is not responsible for any consequences — including failure to meet graduation requirements — arising from reliance on the degree progress tracker.

Limitation of liability
